About our Program

This Crime Stoppers Program began in 1981 from the efforts of our City Commission and our Police Department. Our Program now operates as an independent organization. The concept has developed into a combination of efforts by local media, businesses, civic and social clubs, law enforcement agencies, and the public. Donations of airtime, newspaper space, and reward monies have established Crime Stoppers as an effective tool to fight crime in the area.

If you would like to have a member of the Crime Stoppers Board of Directors make a Crime Stoppers presentation to your organization, please contact our office at 657-4333.

Mission Statement

The Crime Stoppers program is designed to obtain information from those sources that have knowledge about any crimes, but are reluctant, for whatever reason, to come forward. Crime Stoppers offers these individuals anonymity and a financial reward for the information they provide. The main purpose of the Crime Stoppers program is to obtain information on crimes & cases through sources not available to case investigators.
